The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast rain accompanied by thunderstorms in several parts of the country, with the wet spell expected to continue in the upper regions.
According to the PMD, Islamabad, Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and several parts of Punjab are likely to receive rain, with thunderstorms and strong winds expected during tonight and the next 24 hours. Heavy rainfall is also likely at some locations.
According to the latest flood bulletin issued by the weather department, rain, gusty winds and thunderstorms are expected in Islamabad, Kashmir, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Mianwali, Khushab, Narowal, Sialkot, Sargodha and Bhakkar.
The department has warned that some areas could receive heavy rainfall during the forecast period.
