DUKI: Two workers died and four others were rendered unconscious after toxic gas filled a closed coal mine in Balochistan’s Duki district, police said.
According to police, the incident occurred in a closed coal mine in the Nasirabad area of Duki. The workers had entered the mine when they were exposed to toxic gas, resulting in the deaths and injuries.
Police said the four affected workers were found unconscious and were immediately shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital in Duki for medical treatment.
The bodies of the deceased workers were handed over to their families after completion of the necessary legal formalities, police added.
