ISLAMABAD: The Bureau of Emigration and Overseas Employment has warned Pakistani citizens living and working in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) against participating in public gatherings, protests and political activities, cautioning that violations of local laws could lead to imprisonment, heavy fines and deportation.
According to the advisory, Pakistani nationals in the UAE have been urged to strictly comply with local laws governing public gatherings and political activities.
The bureau warned that participating in prohibited activities could result in serious legal consequences, including imprisonment, substantial financial penalties and deportation.
Pakistani citizens have also been cautioned against assuming that an activity is legally permitted simply because other people are taking part in it.
The advisory further stated that individuals who are uncertain about the legal status of any event or gathering should seek guidance from the relevant UAE authorities before participating.
Compliance with local laws is essential to protecting the employment, residency status and future travel prospects of Pakistani nationals living in the UAE, the advisory said.
Overseas Pakistanis have been advised to focus on their employment and personal well-being while respecting the laws of their host country. The bureau emphasised that such precautions would help safeguard individuals’ futures and support the well-being of the wider Pakistani community in the UAE.
