KARACHI: A dignified guard-changing ceremony was held at the mausoleum of the Founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, as the 79th Independence Day of Pakistan is being celebrated across the country with great enthusiasm and national spirit.
In Karachi, under the traditional flag, cadets of the Pakistan Naval Academy assumed the duties of honorary guards at Mazar-e-Quaid. Every year on August 14, this responsibility is entrusted to the Pakistan Naval Academy. The honorary guards stationed at Mazar-e-Quaid consist of two contingents — one comprising Pakistan Navy sailors and the other consisting of Naval Academy cadets. The ceremony was attended by a large number of citizens and officials.
The Chief Guest of the dignified guard deployment ceremony was Rear Admiral Muhammad Umair, Commandant of Pakistan Naval Academy. The event was marked with national songs, salutes, and renewed pledges to uphold the vision of Quaid-e-Azam for a progressive and united Pakistan.
