ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has announced a significant increase in the transport monetisation allowance for judicial and high court officers from Grade 17 to Grade 22.

According to a government notification, the hike in allowances has been sanctioned on the directives of CJ Justice Sarfraz Dogar and after this the Registrar of the Islamabad High Court officially announced the increased allowance.

The allowance system will come into effect from July 1, 2026, and will be applicable to the judicial and high court officials from the above mentioned grades.

In the new allowance schedule, the Grade 22 officials would be given Rs250,000 monthly as a transport monetisation allowance, and Grade 21 officials will get Rs195,000 per month.

It was mentioned in the notification that Grade 20 officials will get Rs 175,000 per month as a monthly allowance, while Grade 19 officials will get Rs 150,000 monthly as an allowance.

Grade 18 officials will be given Rs 100,000 per month, while Grade 17 officials will be given Rs 60,000 monthly allowance.
