Apple’s 20th anniversary iPhone lineup, expected to launch as the iPhone 20 series, could arrive in fall 2027 with a major redesign.

Previous reports claim that the phones will feature curved glass on both the front and back. Apple may also replace traditional mechanical controls with solid-state buttons. A new leak has now revealed more details about the internal design and cooling system of the upcoming phones.

According to tipster Fixed Focus Digital, the iPhone 20 series will use a frame similar to the one found on the iPhone Air. The new models could also closely match the slim profile of Apple’s ultra-thin handset. The tipster claims that the iPhone 20 will deliver significantly better thermal performance than the iPhone 17 Pro lineup. Apple reportedly plans to achieve this by using a larger vapor chamber cooling system.

The vapor chamber inside the 20th anniversary iPhone could be roughly one inch larger than the component used in the current Pro models. The iPhone 20 Pro Max is rumored to feature a 6.96-inch display and a 6,000mAh battery. The phone could also introduce under-display Face ID and support reverse wireless charging.
