The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has auctioned Bahria Town’s 527 kanal and 10 marla property in Murree to recover unpaid tax dues worth Rs. 26 billion.
Located in Mauza Kathar Sharqi on Angori Road, the land was sold after a fresh auction process under the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001. A Pakistani businessman submitted the highest successful bid after an earlier auction failed to conclude. Sources say the total cost of acquiring the property, including taxes, was around Rs. 825 million. The FBR retained the right to accept or reject bids during the process.
