Khyber Medical University (KMU) Peshawar has issued an important public notice for the candidates of KMU-CAT 2026, according to which the test centre of all candidates appearing for the examination in the Bannu region has been changed.

Earlier, this Computer-Based Test (CBT) was to be held in Bannu, but now it has been shifted to Kohat. This decision has been taken due to the unavailability of examination facilities, especially stable internet connectivity.

According to the university due to the unavailability of computer-based testing facilities of the required quality in Bannu, it was not possible to conduct the examination there. Therefore, in the interest of the candidates and to make the examination process transparent, Kohat has been designated as the new test center.

All candidates have been directed to appear at the designated examination centre in Kohat as per the date and time mentioned in their roll number slip. Candidates should double-check their roll number slips before leaving to verify the latest information about the test centre.

KMU has clarified that the new roll number slips have already been uploaded online. Candidates can download their updated roll number slips from the official KMU-CAT testing portal. It will not be possible to appear in the exam without the roll number slip; hence, every candidate needs to bring a printed roll number slip with them.

Furthermore, candidates have been instructed to reach the test centre well before the scheduled time of the exam so that the registration and verification process can be completed on time. It is mandatory to bring the original National Identity Card (CNIC) or B Form (where applicable) to enter the exam centre.

According to education experts, although the change of exam centre may create travel difficulties for some candidates, stable internet and modern testing facilities are indispensable for the computer-based test. In such circumstances, shifting the exam to a city where the required facilities are available is considered a necessary step to maintain the exam standard.

NOTICE

Candidates and their parents should make their travel arrangements well in advance to avoid any hassle on the exam day. Students going to Kohat will have to be extra careful as late arrivals may result in admission being restricted or cancelled as per the exam regulations.

Khyber Medical University has appealed to candidates to rely only on the information obtained from the university’s official website and testing portal and avoid unverified news circulating on social media. Overall, this decision has been taken to make the exam process organized, transparent, and in line with modern requirements.

Candidates need to verify their roll number slip, exam centre, time, and required documents on time so that they can appear in the KMU-CAT 2026 exam without any hassle. Timely preparation, accurate information, and punctuality are the most important factors for success.
