ISLAMABAD: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has introduced self-service kiosks at selected registration centres across Pakistan, enabling citizens to independently process a range of identity document services.

Through the new self-service kiosks, applicants can submit requests for the renewal of Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs) and National Identity Cards for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOPs), obtain replacement cards for lost or damaged documents, and apply for the cancellation of the identity card of a deceased family member.

According to NADRA, the initiative is aimed at improving service delivery, reducing waiting times and providing citizens with greater convenience while accessing routine identity-related services.

The self-service kiosks have been installed at NADRA centres in major cities, including Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Quetta and Peshawar, as well as in Gujranwala, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Jhang, Sargodha, Multan, Bahawalpur and Rahim Yar Khan.

The facilities are available at designated Mega Centres and registration centres, allowing applicants to complete eligible transactions without requiring direct assistance from customer service staff.

NADRA said the rollout of the self-service kiosks is part of its ongoing efforts to modernise public services and improve the overall customer experience through greater use of digital technology.
