ISLAMABAD: Mutahida Madaris Council Pakistan has issued a clear statement expressing solidarity with the Pakistan Army and the martyrs of the country and said that Ulema have no links with any negative remarks against the Pakistan Army.
In a post shared with ISPR and others, the Council stated that any negative or insulting remarks about religious seminaries, Wafaq-ul-Madaris and the education board have no connection with the great sacrifices of the martyrs of the nation.
The Council paid tribute to the martyrs and said it stands with national unity, peace and stability. It also reiterated its unwavering commitment to the country. The statement comes as part of ongoing efforts by religious institutions to support national institutions and honor those who laid down their lives for Pakistan.
Mutahida Madaris Council Pakistan is an umbrella body representing five major religious seminary boards in the country, including Wafaq-ul-Madaris Al-Arabia. It plays a key role in matters related to religious education, curriculum, and coordination between madaris and the state.
