ISLAMABAD: Pakistani nationals residing in Saudi Arabia’s holy city of Madinah can once again access National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) services after the office resumed operations following a temporary suspension during the Hajj season.
According to official information, the NADRA office in Madinah restarted its services on Sunday, allowing Pakistani citizens living in Madinah and surrounding areas to obtain various identity-related services.
The services had been suspended earlier in line with directives issued by Saudi authorities during the annual Hajj pilgrimage, when administrative arrangements and crowd management measures were implemented across the holy cities.
With the resumption of operations, overseas Pakistanis will once again be able to apply for and renew national identity documents, including the Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) and the National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP).
NADRA remains the sole authorized institution responsible for issuing national identity cards and other official identification documents to Pakistani citizens both within the country and abroad.
The restoration of services is expected to provide significant relief to members of the Pakistani community in Madinah who had been awaiting access to documentation and registration facilities following the Hajj-related suspension.
