KARACHI: Pakistan’s private airline, South Air, has announced the launch of its domestic flight operations from July 16 for different cities. South Air, is a regional airline headquartered in Karachi and operated under the Tourism Promotion and Regional Integration (TPRI) licensing framework.

In its initial phase, the airline will operate flights connecting Karachi, Bahawalpur, and Islamabad, linking Pakistan’s financial hub, Southern Punjab, and the federal capital through regular domestic services. Official sources said that this move would improve regional connectivity by offering safe, reliable, and affordable air travel. South Air said its goal is to bring people, businesses, and economic opportunities closer together by expanding access to underserved destinations.

Backed by the corporate conglomerate SOS Group, the airline’s mission is to improve regional connectivity by linking underserved cities across South Punjab, interior Sindh, Balochistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with major economic hubs. Passengers will be able to travel on the new route from July 16, while flight schedules, fares, and booking details will be available through the airline’s official website. The carrier has also announced that ticket sales will be offered through its website, ticketing offices, and authorized travel agents.

The launch follows South Air’s recent rollout of flights on the Karachi-Gwadar-Quetta network, reflecting the airline’s gradual expansion of its domestic route map. The carrier has also unveiled plans to connect several underserved cities, including Sukkur, Turbat, Panjgur, Rahim Yar Khan, Skardu, Chitral, and Gwadar in the coming months.
South Air says it will operate a fleet of ATR 72-600 turboprop aircraft for short- and medium-haul domestic routes, offering both Economy and Business Class seating.
