GWADAR: Ship fueling supply successfully started at Gwadar Port as NLC, Vitol completed first bunkering operation here on Saturday.
This is a historic milestone achieved in Pakistan’s maritime trade and economic development with the formal and successful commencement of ship fueling bunkering operation at Gwadar Port. In this connection, NLC and global energy company Vitol jointly completed their first inaugural bunkering operation at Gwadar Port, under which 2,500 metric tons of very low sulfur fuel oil (VLSFO) as per international standards was supplied to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) owned LNG carrier ENUGU.
The environmentally friendly fuel supplied for this historic operation has been manufactured at Pakistan’s local refinery Cnergyico PK Ltd in accordance with the rules of the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
The successful completion of this operation at Gwadar Port marks a significant milestone in the development of the overall bunkering and marine fuel supply ecosystem supply network in Pakistan. It will further enhance Pakistan’s prestige and importance in the global shipping industry.
