NASIRABAD: Two time bombs planted by suspected militants exploded one after another near tube wells in Chhatir tehsil of Balochistan’s Nasirabad district, however, no loss of life was reported, police said.
According to Chhatir Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Haider Ali Manjho, the explosives had been planted near tube wells in the area and detonated in quick succession, causing loud blasts.
Soon after the explosions, a heavy contingent of police and security personnel reached the site and cordoned off the area.
Police officials said the apparent aim behind targeting the tube wells was to spread fear among residents and damage property. However, no casualties occurred as no one was present at the site at the time of the blasts.
Security forces sealed nearby routes and launched a search operation to trace those responsible for planting the explosives.
