PESHAWAR: An audio message sent by former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur to the party’s WhatsApp group has surfaced, in which he has expressed his views on the current situation of the province, government affairs, development projects and salaries of assembly members.

Later, Ali Amin Gandapur’s spokesperson Faraz Mughal confirmed the audio and said that the recording circulating on social media is of Ali Amin Gandapur, however, further comment on it will be made at an appropriate time.

In the audio message that has surfaced, Ali Amin Gandapur says that drone attacks are taking place in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa while operations are also being carried out with the funds of the provincial government.

He claimed that some provincial ministers and assembly members are stopping substandard development works, however, despite this, the government is being blamed for bad governance.

In the audio message, he also expressed his views on the issue of increasing the salaries of the members of the assembly and said that the names of the people who demanded an increase in salaries and supported the relevant act should be brought to the public.

Ali Amin Gandapur further said that the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf had refused to approve the increase in the salaries of the members of the provincial assembly, while he himself was not a part of this entire process and his position in this regard is in front of everyone.

On the other hand, spokesperson Faraz Mughal confirmed the audio recording and said that this is the voice of Ali Amin Gandapur, however, the detailed position of the party on this issue will be brought to the fore at the appropriate time.
