Shoukat Hussain Sadozai, a councillor from Rawalakot one of the founding members of the proscribed Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC), has disassociated himself from the organisation.

Senior journalist Absar Alam has said that he has been subjected to a threatening and coordinated online campaign following his recent interview with Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, claiming that the Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) is behind the activity.
In a post shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Absar Alam said the campaign began after the interview and included what he described as threatening messages and a voice note allegedly originating from the United Kingdom.
