One policeman critically injured when armed protesters of the banned JAC attacked a police check post in Dadyal AJK on Sunday.

As per reports, supporters of the banned joint action committee gathered at Amb Chowk in Dadyal. A heavy police contingent reached the scene to disperse them. However, the protesters allegedly opened fire towards police side.

Resultantly, police responded by firing warning shots into the air in an attempt to disperse them. During the exchange, IB Inspector identified as Umar sustained a gunshot wound and was immediately shifted to DHQ Hospital Dadyal.

During the clash, one armed protester who opened fire on police was killed. The body was shifted to DHQ Hospital and has been taken into police custody for legal proceedings.

The Indian media increased its coverage of the banned JAC after its movement failed to gain public support in Azad Kashmir. The JAC’s movement has totally been rejected by the locals.
