BAJAUR (Waheed Ullah): Tehsil Municipal Officer (TMO) Nawagai has send a detailed report regarding the street lights installed on main highways and markets in Bajaur district to the Additional Deputy Commissioner (Finance and Planning).
According to the notification, a total of 212 street lights are installed on various roads and markets within the limits of TMA Nawagai, out of which only 17 are functional while 195 are inactive.
The report states that Rs 19.5 million will be required for the rehabilitation of these inactive street lights.
According to the report, out of 26 street lights in Civil Colony Nawagai, 11 are functional while 15 are inactive. All 6 street lights in Tarkhu Bazaar are functional.
On the other hand, all 30 street lights of Nawagai Bazaar, 36 of Gatki Bazaar, 45 of Mena Bazaar, 46 of Laghrai Bazaar, 8 of Larkali and 15 of Kamar Sar Bazar are completely non-functional.
The report has been sent in response to a letter from the office of the Additional Deputy Commissioner (Finance and Planning) in the prescribed format, while copies of it have also been sent to the Deputy Commissioner Bajaur, Regional Municipal Officer Malakand Division and the concerned provincial authorities.
