In view of the ongoing heat wave and intense heat wave in the province, the Education Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has warned that strict action will be taken against institutions that open schools during the summer vacations.
The Education Department has issued a circular in this regard, which states that the purpose of the summer vacations is to protect students and teachers from intense heat. Despite this, if any government or private school is found to be open illegally, departmental action will be taken against those responsible.
According to the circular, all District Education Officers have been directed to monitor schools in their respective districts and send an immediate report to the department in case of violation.
The Meteorological Department has predicted an unusual rise in temperature in most areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa this week, after which the Education Department has taken this decision keeping in mind the health and safety of students.
The Education Department has also appealed to parents not to take their children out of their homes unnecessarily due to the intense heat and to cooperate with the school administration.
