Drama Actor Tauseeq Haider and anchor-person Farah Saadia have put an end to viral rumours about their supposed wedding, responding with humour and clarity in a joint video.
The speculation, circulated online by YouTubers to gain views, claimed the two respected TV personalities had secretly married. Both took the rumours in their stride.
“So, we are happily married… we wanted to share this news with you all but somehow our ‘very hard-working’ YouTubers beat us to it,” Farah said with a laugh. Tauseeq joined in, joking about seeing the edited photos: “I woke up to find I am a married man… that picture was so good, the dulha and dulhan looked really handsome.”
He then teased the rumourmongers, “Since you’ve earned from our names, maybe send us Rs 50,000 as salami. It’s a great business venture you’ve started.”The pair later clarified the truth behind the claims.
“We both are quite happily single,” Tauseeq said. “The biggest takeaway from life for me is to be single, and what she has learnt is that marriage is just not for her right now.”
Tauseeq Haider and Farah Saadia are among Pakistan’s most respected TV faces, known for their years of hosting on PTV Islamabad and for popular drama roles. They urged people to avoid spreading baseless stories and respect their personal lives.
