Pakistan International Airlines (PIA)  flights from Lahore to Manchester have been restored after 5 years, the first flight from Manchester to Lahore will depart on July 1.

According to details, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has formally announced the restoration of its flight operations to Manchester and Beijing.

The national airline says that two-way flights from Lahore to Manchester are starting from July 1, which is a major breakthrough after a long gap of 5 years.

It should be noted that PIA’s flights to the UK were banned in 2020, however, flights from Islamabad to Manchester were restored last year.

According to the flight schedule, the first flight from Manchester to Lahore will depart on July 1, while the flight from Lahore to Manchester will be operated on July 2.

A PIA spokesperson says that these flights have received an extraordinary response from passengers. So far, 175 passengers have confirmed their bookings for the July 1 flight, while all 310 seats on the Lahore-Manchester flight on July 2 have been fully booked.

On the other hand, PIA has also reactivated its operations for China. The two-way flights from Islamabad to Beijing, which have been suspended for the past two months, will be restored from July 3.

This weekly flight, which was suspended since April 10, will now be operated again by a Boeing 777 aircraft.

Airline officials say that the restoration of these important international routes will provide travel facilities to overseas Pakistanis and will also significantly increase the revenue of the national airline.
