PESHAWAR: People in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) have expressed appreciation for Field Marshal Asim Munir’s role in what they described as positive and constructive diplomatic efforts linked to the recent Iran–US tensions, thanking senior military leadership for contributing to regional stability in the area.

As noted by local people through interviews and statements made in the media, the population is very grateful to its leadership for helping bring about peace between different countries, and especially between the US and Iran.

Several locals emphasized that thanks to the involvement of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, there have been significant steps towards diplomacy and peace, allowing both regional and global players to reduce conflicts and avoid escalations in the entire Middle East region.

“Field Marshal Asim Munir fulfilled his promises. The country proved to be able to participate in peace processes on an international level,” said one of the residents, noting that people were highly pleased with the country’s actions.

Local population added that participation in diplomacy was very important for preventing war and conflicts, as well as maintaining peace within the region.

They also expressed pride in the country’s institutions, crediting them with promoting a positive image of Pakistan on the global stage through what they described as effective diplomatic engagement.

Analysts, as cited in local discussions, suggested that the Iran–US understanding has contributed to Pakistan being viewed more prominently as a mediator in complex international disputes. However, independent international confirmation of Pakistan’s formal mediating role has not been issued by all parties involved.

The situation continues to develop as regional stakeholders await further official statements regarding the scope and outcomes of ongoing diplomatic processes.
