LAHORE: A case has been registered against TikTok content creator Nadeem Mubarak, popularly known as “Nani Wala,” at Defence-C police station.
According to police, the case has been filed against the accused on charges of negligent and reckless driving, obstruction of official duty, and making threats against a public official.
It was reported that the accused, who was driving a luxury car without a registration number plate, ignored the police signal to stop. Instead, he continued to drive away in the opposite direction, while trying to ram a police car in the process of running away.
As a result of the act of defiance, police have filed the FIR in the case on the complaint of traffic police, sources said.
Traffic officials further said that stringent actions would continue against such cars which were found operating without number plates, fake or standard number plates, and fitted with blue and green warning lights.
TikToker Hakim Babar falls ill after alleged poisoning attempt
Earlier, a well-known TikToker, Hakim Babar, was hospitalised after a reported incident during a gathering in the Kotli Khokhran area of Sambrial, sparking concern and public attention in the region.
According to some reports from the police force, the case took place while the celebrity was at an event organized for Eid ul Azha. According to the First Information Report (FIR), two persons gave him a glass of water after which he fell ill.
His health deteriorated, and he was then taken to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Sambrial for immediate medical attention. Reports suggest that the doctors have declared his health stable, and he has since left the hospital.
It has been alleged by the complainant that the attack might be due to jealousy because of his growing reputation on social media platforms. The medical board at the hospital revealed that no signs of poisoning could be detected at the time of their arrival.
It is said that the sample was submitted to the forensic lab for further testing.
In addition to this, the police have registered a case against two people and have initiated action against them.
