Shahrah-i-Baltistan, connecting the Skardu region with the rest of the country, has been blocked for the second consecutive day, due to which hundreds of tourists and local commuters are stranded on both sides of the route.

Shahrah-i-Baltistan, which was reopened last night after clearance operations, has once again been blocked by a fresh landslide in the Brondu area.
According to officials, the latest landslide is larger than the one that occurred yesterday, and the slope continues to remain unstable, posing a serious risk of further sliding. As a result, the road has been closed for all types of traffic in both directions.
Authorities have cautioned that the area is still vulnerable to additional landslides. Travellers have been advised to avoid the route until conditions improve and the road is declared safe for movement.
