ISLAMABAD: Nepal cricketer Kushal Bhurtel stunned everyone with his explosive performance by scoring six sixes in a single over in the T20 match held between Nepal and China at the ongoing Asian Games tournament.
Kushal Bhurtel was very aggressive at the crease by scoring 129 runs off 43 deliveries. In his innings, he hammered 16 sixes along with five fours. Besides, another teammate, Kushal Mala also made a brilliant knock of 85 runs off 47 balls.
Similarly, another cricketer named Rohit also chipped in with 69 runs off 21 balls. Nepal scored 313 runs for the loss of two wickets against China, who lost their wickets for 92 runs while chasing a target of 313.
It is noteworthy that Nepal made 313 runs for the second time in their T20I game history. The first time, Nepal made 314 against Mongolia in the same event during the ongoing Asian Games of 2023. This score became historical as it was the first 300+ score in T20I format of the game.
First ODI: Pakistan defeat Australia
Earlier, Pakistan defeated Australia by five wickets in the first One-day International at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, successfully chasing a target of 201 runs in 42.3 overs.
Chasing 201, Pakistan lost Sahibzada Farhan for 28 and Moaz Sadaqat for 8 runs.
Babar Azam scored 69, while Mohammad Ghazi Ghori contributed 65 before both were dismissed. Salman Ali Agha added 6 runs.
Arafat Minhas remained unbeaten on 18, while Abdul Samad stayed not out on 0 as Pakistan completed the run chase with five wickets in hand.
For Australia, Nathan Ellis claimed two wickets, while Matthew Kuhnemann, Marnus Labuschagne and Tanveer Sangha took one wicket each.
Earlier, Australia had set Pakistan a target of 201 runs after being bowled out for 200.
With the victory, Pakistan took a 1-0 lead in the three-match ODI series.
