In response, Yorkshire’s chase got off to a shaky start as their top order struggled to build momentum, slipping to 65 for 4 under pressure from disciplined Derbyshire bowling.

Adam Lyth played a brisk knock of 31, while senior batters Jonny Bairstow, James Wharton, and William Luxton fell cheaply, leaving Yorkshire under increasing pressure. Moeen Ali added stability with a composed 51, keeping the chase alive despite regular setbacks.

With the match slipping away, Hasan Ali shifted the momentum dramatically in the closing stages, smashing 31 runs off just 12 deliveries in a blistering display of power hitting. His late assault turned the game on its head and brought Yorkshire within touching distance of victory.

He was well supported by Andrew Tye, who contributed a valuable 32 runs as the pair steered the team home in a tense finish.

Derbyshire’s bowling effort was led by Jack Morley, who claimed four wickets, while Nick Potts picked up two.

Yorkshire eventually reached the target with two wickets in hand, sealing a thrilling win highlighted by Hasan Ali’s explosive all-round contribution.
