ISLAMABAD: The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) on Thursday issued notices to both parties following it received a formal complaint of harassment and threats from renowned actress Momina Iqbal the other day.

Pakistani television actress, Momina Iqbal, urged the Chief Minister Punjab through a Social Media post seeking legal action and protection from a member of the provincial assembly of the Pakistan Muslim League. The actress accused the MPA of threatening her.

The NCCIA has confirmed receipt of the application against the MPA, and it has launched an inquiry into the case.

Talking to the media, Director NCCIA Punjab Muhammad Ali Waseem asserted that there is no pressure in the case and the action is being taken as per the law.

He said that notices have been issued to the parties in the case; however, the name of the concerned MPA could not be disclosed due to legal requirements.
