NORTH WAZIRISTAN: In a major intelligence-based security operation conducted, the security forces killed 5 terrorists, including a terrorist leader in the Spin Wam area of North Waziristan on Thursday, Security Sources said.
Security forces achieved a major success during an intelligence-based operation in the Spin Wam area of North Waziristan and killed 4 other terrorists, including the most wanted terrorist leader Khazri Umar alias Jan Mir alias Tor Saqib.
According to security sources, the price of the slain terrorist leader’s head was set at Rs 3 million. He was the mastermind of several terrorist attacks on security forces and civilians.
According to sources, Khazri Umar alias Saqib Tor had laid underground bunkers, tunnels, and explosive devices around the Bobali Mosque area of Spin Wam. Security forces, acting under a coordinated strategy, surrounded and killed the terrorists.
Security sources say that this successful operation has dealt a major blow to the terrorist network, and the law and order situation in the area is expected to improve.
