ISLAMABAD: A senior investigative journalist, Zahid Gishkori, in his recent report, has claimed that the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) founder and former prime minister, Imran Khan, owns a luxury flat and shops in One Constitution Avenue in Islamabad.

The journalist Gishkori, in his video report and a tweet on X, claimed that Imran Khan purchased properties at Rs 500 million in One Constitution Avenue during his premiership.

Gishkori report says, Imran Khan declared a luxury flat in 2021 and then a commercial shop in 2022 as his assets during his tenure as Prime Minister.
According to the documents, the founder of PTI declared the value of the commercial shop in One Constitution Tower as Rs 125.8 million.

“The PTI founder had declared the value of his flat as Rs 11.9 million in 2021. The value of Imran Khan’s Islamabad flat is declared at more than Rs 30 million a year later,” the Gishkori report says.
It said the assets and their value of the former prime minister increased by 120 per cent between 2021 and 2022, and in 2021, the value of the founder of PTI was Rs 141.1 million, while in 2022, the value of the founder of PTI’s assets surged to Rs 328 million.
According to PTI General Secretary Salman Akram Raja, both the assets purchased in One Constitution Avenue have been declared with the tax authorities.
“If both the assets of the founder are declared, what is illegal in it?” Akram Raja questioned the journalist.

The reporter mentioned in his report that he was attempting to take Imran Khan’s family’s version on the matter.
