Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Khan Afridi assigned important duties to all Deputy Commissioners and directed a comprehensive and coordinated action plan for the convenience and safety of the public on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha 2026.

This plan aims to ensure the best arrangements for cleanliness, security, and traffic across the province. According to the government announcement, all relevant departments, including Rescue 1122, police, health, livestock, and local bodies, have been put on high alert to deal with any emergency during Eid. The administration has made it clear that cattle markets will be allowed only at approved locations and strict action will be taken against illegal markets.

Clean drinking water, adequate lighting, spacious parking, and cells for immediate redressal of complaints have been set up in major cattle markets for the convenience of buyers and traders. Livestock department teams will remain constantly active in the markets for vaccination of animals and prevention of diseases.

Special instructions have been issued regarding cleanliness, under which additional resources have been provided to WSSC and local bodies for the timely collection and safe disposal of waste. The public has also been asked to refrain from throwing waste in open spaces or rivers.

24/7 control rooms have been set up at the provincial level to maintain law and order. The police have been directed to take indiscriminate action against one-wheelers, aerial firing, and traffic rule violators. In view of the rush at tourist spots, a special traffic plan has been prepared, and help desks have been activated to assist tourists.

To control inflation and hoarding during Eid, price control magistrates will regularly check transport fares, food points, bakeries, and hotels. The health department has issued orders to keep emergency wards, ambulance service, and trauma centers in all major hospitals functional around the clock.

The provincial government has also made it clear that there will be a complete ban on illegal collection of donations or sacrificial skins, and only registered organizations will be allowed to do so. These measures aim to provide a peaceful and clean environment for the citizens.
