PESHAWAR (Muhammad Ijaz Afridi): The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has executed a major administrative shake-up, reshuffling over a dozen officers across various cadres—including the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) and Provincial Management Service (PMS) on Thursday.

The reshuffle, aimed at optimising the public interest, brings significant changes to key deputy and assistant commissioner roles across the province.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Human Resource Management Department has issued separate notifications in this regard.

In the senior tier, Manzoor Ahmad Afridi (PMS BS-19) has been moved from the KP Education Monitoring Authority to serve as Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dir Upper, replacing Naveed Akbar, who has been directed to report to the Human Resource Management (HRM) Department.

Similarly, Gohar Zaman Wazir (PAS BS-18) has been posted as DC Nowshera, taking over from Muhammad Irfanullah Mahsud.

Other notable senior appointments include Yasir Imran (PMS BS-19) as DC Torghar and Sohail Ahmad Khan (PMS BS-18) as DC Upper Swat. Meanwhile, outgoing DC Torghar, Anwar Zeb, has been reassigned to report to the HRM Department.

The reshuffle also heavily impacted field administration at the assistant commissioner level. In a direct swap, Aleena Shakeel Nagra (PAS BS-17) moves from Swabi to Takht Bhai, Mardan, while Adnan Mumtaz (PMS BS-17) takes her place in Swabi. In Swat, Luqman has been posted as AC Bahrain, and Muhammad Yar has been appointed AC Khwazakhela, following the transfer of Faiz Muhammad-II to the Home & Tribal Affairs Department.

Further adjustments include the appointment of Syed Javed Iqbal as AC Besham (Shangla) and the transfer of Sanovia Kakar, who was previously awaiting posting, to the position of AC Khadokhel in Buner.

In Mardan, Wisal Ahmad (Tehsildar BS-16) has been elevated to the role of Additional Assistant Commissioner (Revenue).

This bureaucratic realignment reflects the provincial government’s strategy to refresh field administration and enhance governance efficiency in key districts.
