Due to a recent surge in petroleum prices, Pakistan Mini Mazda Goods Transport has announced a nationwide fare increase of 10%.

In a statement to the media, Haji Sher Ali Choudhry, the central president of the transport association, explained that fare hikes had previously been postponed on May 1 at the request of the government. However, with diesel prices continuing to rise, raising fares has now become unavoidable.

He emphasized that the new rates will take effect immediately and noted that transporters are facing significant challenges due to increasing costs and rising fuel prices.

The government announced new prices for petroleum products, increasing Petrol prices by Rs 14.92 per litre, while high-speed diesel increased by Rs 15 per litre.

A notification of new prices of petroleum products has been issued; the price of petrol has been increased by Rs 14.92 per liter while the price of high-speed diesel has been increased by Rs 15 per litre, after which the new price of high-speed diesel has been set at Rs 415 per litre. The new price of petrol has been set at Rs 415 per litre. The new prices will be applicable from 12 midnight tonight.

On the other hand, the spokesperson of OGRA says that fake news about the alleged strike of petroleum dealers is circulating on social media; no petroleum association has announced any kind of strike.

Unusual rush at pumps along with rumours of an increase in prices of petroleum products, as tomorrow is a holiday on May 1, the announcement of changes in prices is likely to be made today.

On the other hand, an OGRA spokesperson said that fake news about an alleged strike by petroleum dealers is circulating on social media, and no petroleum association has announced any kind of strike.
