PESHAWAR: The inauguration ceremony of the Hayatabad Underpass in Peshawar was marred by severe mismanagement, with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi reportedly leaving the venue without formally inaugurating the project.
According to details, the ceremony descended into chaos as a large number of party workers gathered at the site.
Amid the heavy rush, Sohail Afridi could not get out of his vehicle, while workers reportedly climbed onto his car.
Due to the disorder and overcrowding, the chief minister left the venue without cutting the ribbon to formally inaugurate the Hayatabad Underpass.
The large gathering also caused significant traffic disruption, with traffic on Ring Road reportedly coming to a standstill.
The incident highlighted the lack of arrangements and crowd management at the inauguration ceremony.
