Senior journalist and analyst Najam Sethi has said that Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry speaks with conviction and sincerity, adding that his statements should be taken seriously.

Speaking during his programme, Sethi noted that people often become emotional on matters related to beliefs and sensitive issues, which he described as a natural reaction.

He said such topics are closely linked with public sentiments, and therefore reactions to them tend to become more intense.

Commenting on the recent press conference by DG ISPR, Sethi said Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry’s remarks were not merely formal or symbolic, but were delivered with deep conviction and seriousness.

According to him, the military spokesperson’s statements clearly reflect a national stance and a sense of responsibility rather than staged communication.

It is worth mentioning that in a recent press conference alongside Pakistan Air Force and Pakistan Navy officials, DG ISPR issued a strong message to India, saying that Pakistan had already shown the trailer and any future aggression would be met with an even stronger response.

He had stated that Pakistan remains fully prepared, urging the Indian military to move beyond its narrative and compete if it can.

Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry also said that Pakistan had demonstrated only 10 to 15 percent of its capability during Marka-e-Haq and added that a glimpse of further potential would be showcased during the August 14 parade.

He further stated that India’s narrative regarding terrorism had collapsed and no longer carries credibility, accusing it of using Afghan soil for terrorism against Pakistan.
