BAJAUR: A fierce clash has taken place between terrorists hiding across the border and security forces in the Pak-Afghan border area of Damma-Domla resulting martyrdom of two persons four including women injured on Friday.
According to local sources and eyewitnesses, two brothers were martyred, and 4 people, including a woman, were injured in the exchange of fire. The clash erupted, when terrorists from across the border tried to target security forces’ posts. During the force’s vigorous retaliation, two youths from a nearby village were killed in the gunfire.
The deceased have been identified as Abu Hurairah and Owais, who are said to be the sons of a man named Ibrahim. Four people, including a woman, were injured in the incident and were immediately shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) with the help of locals. According to medical sources, the condition of the injured woman is said to be critical.
After the incident, there has been a lot of panic in the area, and security forces have launched a search operation in Dumdaumla and the surrounding areas. The political administration and local elders have expressed deep grief and anger over the incident.
It should be remembered that for the past few days, tension has persisted in the border areas of Bajaur, due to which the local population is facing severe difficulties. No official statement has been issued by the administration yet; however, security has been put on high alert in the area.
