WASHINGTON: A recent poll conducted by The Washington Post, ABC News, and Ipsos indicates that a majority of Americans believe President Donald Trump is not mentally or physically fit to effectively serve as Commander-in-Chief.
According to the survey results, 59% Americans believe that Trump lacks the proper mental health to assume the role of the leader of the nation, while 55% of them were worried about the physical condition of Trump to occupy the post of the president.
However, 40% of Americans think that Trump is well-equipped with qualities to be the president, while 1% did not want to say anything about the matter. Furthermore, 67% participants thought that Trump lacked decision-making skills.
In light of the above information, it appears that many Americans doubt Trump’s ability to perform as President of the United States.
Trump warns of renewed military action if Iran ‘Makes a Mistake’
Earlier, US President Donald Trump has warned that military operations against Iran could resume if Tehran takes what he described as a “wrong step,” signalling continued tensions despite recent diplomatic developments.
Speaking to the media, Trump claimed that the United States had significantly degraded Iran’s military capabilities, asserting that it could take years for Tehran to fully rebuild its strength. He also suggested that Iran’s leadership structure had been severely impacted.
The US president said a “friendly blockade” was currently in place in the region, aimed at maintaining control of the situation without causing direct harm. He added that measures were being taken to ensure stability and prevent escalation.
Commenting on Iran’s recent proposals, Trump noted that he had received an initial briefing, with further detailed discussions expected in the coming days.
He reiterated his warning that any renewed provocation by Iran could trigger a resumption of military action, stressing that Washington remains vigilant and prepared to respond swiftly to any emerging threats in the region.
