South Waziristan: The Deputy Commissioner’s Office of South Waziristan Lower has issued a press release confirming that several incidents of unprovoked firing and shelling by Afghan forces occurred in the border region of Angoor Adda on April 26 and April 29, 2026. These attacks resulted in significant casualties and damage to property.

According to the press release, multiple residential homes were damaged during the shelling, and eight individuals, including women and children, were critically injured. The injured were immediately provided with first aid and later transferred to hospitals in Dera Ismail Khan and Peshawar for further treatment.

The injured individuals include:

Rahimullah, 20 years old, male (severely injured)

Zubaira Bibi, 20 years old, female (severely injured)

Bibi Hawa, 28 years old, female (severely injured)

Muslima Bibi, 13 years old, female (severely injured)

Sanab, 3 years old, male (severely injured)

Spinabi Bibi, 8 years old, female (severely injured)

Irshad, 10 years old, male (severely injured)

Rubia Bibi, 32 years old, female (severely injured)

The press release further stated that these individuals come from various localities, with some identified as residents of the villages of Musa Neka and Zalu Khail.

The district administration has expressed deep concern over these incidents, condemning the unprovoked aggression by Afghan forces and calling for immediate cessation of such actions. The local population and tribal elders have also voiced their distress and demanded urgent action to prevent further attacks.

“The district administration is closely monitoring the situation, and efforts are ongoing to provide medical and financial support to the affected families,” the press release noted. It also expressed heartfelt condolences to the victims’ families.
