SOUTH WAZIRISTAN: Afghan Taliban continue to target Pakistani civilians, seriously injuring three individuals, including two women, in South Waziristan.

Details reveal that three people were injured in unprovoked gunfire by the Afghan Taliban in Zalul village, located in the Angoor Adda border area of South Waziristan. The Taliban fired artillery shells in Zalul Khel village, injuring two women and a man. The injured are identified as Rahimullah, his wife, and Zainullah’s wife.

The Afghan Taliban have been attempting to infiltrate a group known as Fitna al-Khawarij into Pakistan for some time. However, due to the vigilant actions of the Pakistan Army, every infiltration attempt by the Khawarij has been thwarted. Frustrated by their failures, the Afghan Taliban targeted the civilian population in Angoor Adda today.

The injured have been transported to the District Headquarters Hospital in Wana. Residents have strongly condemned the Afghan Taliban’s attack and are demanding retaliatory action from the Pakistan Army.

It is noteworthy that under Operation Ghazbullah Haq, Pakistan has successfully targeted Khawarij hideouts in Afghanistan. After suffering significant losses and finding no refuge, the Afghan Taliban have shifted their focus to attacking the civilian population in Pakistan. In the past, the Afghan Taliban have also targeted civilians in Dir, Bajaur, Orakzai, Torkham, and North Waziristan.
