A new series of rains with strong winds and thunderstorms is predicted in most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from April 16 to 19, as PDMA has issued an alert to all district administrations.

During this time, rain and hail are expected in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Kohistan, Buner, Malakand, Battagram, Mansehra, and Abbottabad. Similarly, rain and wind are also likely in Peshawar, Mardan, Nowshera, Charsadda, Swabi, Kohat, Kurram, Orakzai, Khyber, Bajaur, Mohmand, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, DI Khan, and Tank.

Landslides in the upper districts due to rain, while flooding in rivers and canals in different areas. Due to rains, there is also a risk of flash flooding in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Malakand, Buner, Abbottabad, and Kohistan.

Due to the rains, there is a risk of urban flooding in the plain areas of Peshawar, Mardan, and Nowshera. Citizens are advised to be careful. There is a risk of damage to weak buildings, electricity poles, and solar panels due to strong winds and hail.

There is a risk of damage to standing crops across the province; farmers are advised to take protective measures. Directed the district administration to take advance measures, prepare rescue teams, and ensure the provision of resources.
