KARACHI: Lahore Qalandars, the defending champions, have hit a rough patch as one of their key batsmen, Parvez Hossain Emon, a Bangladeshi player, is unable to participate in PSL 11 because of his shoulder injury.

Parvez got injured on April 3 while batting for Lahore Qalandars in their match against Multan Sultans in Gaddafi Stadium Lahore. Parvez fell ill following a collision with his teammate Asif Ali while fielding. Further MRI scan confirmed that he has injured his shoulder ligaments and needs some rest for recovery.

Before the injury, Parvez was in top shape, as he had played three games and scored 71 runs with an exceptional strike rate of 161.36. He managed to score 45 runs in his last game against Multan Sultans.

As per his doctors’ advice, he could not play in today’s game of his team against Islamabad United at National Stadium Karachi and also misses all the upcoming matches of PSL 11.

Lahore Qalandars have not yet announced any name as replacement of Parvez Emon. It is expected that the team will soon announce their decision.
