RAWALPINDI: The dead body of Dr. Ahmed Latif, the head of the blood bank of Children’s Hospital Rawalpindi, was found in his vehicle after he went missing for three days.
Dr. Latif’s body was discovered in his vehicle after his family members complained about him going missing since Thursday. His family members made numerous calls but were unable to reach him.
Dr. Latif’s whereabouts became known to the hospital officials who began searching for him. The search ended successfully when they found his vehicle in the hospital parking area.
When the searchers opened his car door, they discovered his lifeless body in the car. The police have launched an inquiry into the cause of his death.
Preliminary investigations show that he was suffering from depression, which might have been aggravated by various family problems that arose a few days ago.
We will conduct an autopsy and wait for its report,” a spokesman for the police force stated.
Dr. Latif is one of the respected doctors who helped run the blood bank in the hospital that provides services to thousands of patients each year. Dr. Latif’s death came as a huge shock not only to his relatives but also to his colleagues.
His death has been greatly mourned by his family members.
