PESHAWAR: In the context of the recent imposition of emergency in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a notification circulating on social media regarding the transfer of IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Zulfiqar Hameed has turned out to be fake and fabricated.
The alleged notification that went viral on social media claimed that Police Service of Pakistan Grade-21 officer Zulfiqar Hameed had been transferred and directed to report to the Establishment Division.
The notification was dated October 11, 2026, and also bore the signature of a Section Officer. Rahman Baba Express meets accident, 4 passengers dead, more than 12 injured.
However, sources in the Establishment Division denied the document, clarifying that no such notification has been issued regarding the transfer of Zulfiqar Hameed.
Authorities have appealed to the public and media to avoid believing unverified information circulating on social media and to verify any news from authentic and official sources before spreading it further.
