PESHAWAR: In response to allegations of a Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) leak during the ongoing Matric exams, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Secondary Education Department has taken immediate action by suspending 17 teachers in Peshawar and Charsadda.

This decision follows a report submitted by the Chairman of the Peshawar Board of Education, which prompted the education department to initiate an investigation into the matter.

The identities of the suspended teachers have not yet been disclosed, but they are accused of participating in the unauthorized distribution of MCQs before the exams. Education Department officials have confirmed that an inquiry has been launched against these teachers, and further legal and departmental actions will be taken based on the investigation’s findings.

The Chairman of the Peshawar Board, while addressing the situation, assured the public that the department is committed to safeguarding the future of students and ensuring fairness during the ongoing exams. We will take all necessary actions to protect the interests of our students and provide them with the best possible facilities during their exams, he stated.

He also emphasized the board’s commitment to preventing any interference or manipulation by corrupt individuals or groups who may seek to undermine the transparency of the exams. We will not allow anyone to succeed in hindering the fairness of the matriculation exams, he stressed.

As the exams progress, education authorities are focused on enhancing facilities for students, aiming for a smooth and transparent examination process free from any malpractice.
