Pakistan, in an effective counter-terrorism operation, targeted terrorist hideouts in the Pak-Afghan border areas, resulting in the killing of 26 Indian-backed terrorists.
According to Information Minister Atta Tarar, this operation was carried out in the context of recent terrorist attacks, including the attack on the Federal Constabulary Post in Musa Darra on June 9, 2026, the suicide attack on a military post in North Waziristan on June 2, 2026, and the attack on a police station in Bannu on May 9, 2026.
The Information Minister said that based on intelligence information, the terrorist hideouts were targeted with utmost precision, during which four important targets were completely destroyed. These include a training center, an arms depot, a hideout and a markaz, which were linked to “Fitna-ul-Kharij” commanders Aleem Khan Khushhali and Akhtar Muhammad Janikhel.
He said that Pakistan desires peace and stability in the region, however, the safety of citizens is the top priority of the government. Under the “Determination of Stability”, the anti-terrorism campaign will continue with full vigor to completely eradicate foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
The Information Minister reiterated the resolve that the operations of the security forces and law enforcement agencies will continue until terrorism is eliminated.
