ISLAMABAD: A grand inauguration ceremony for the Yadgar-i-Fatah monument was held in Islamabad, showcasing national pride, patriotism and the country’s commitment to defending the homeland.
President Asif Ali Zardari attended the ceremony as the chief guest, while Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Army Chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, federal ministers and senior political and military leadership were also in attendance.
The ceremony reflected the spirit of national unity, solidarity and cohesion. Contingents from the armed forces and civil armed forces participated in the event, alongside police contingents from Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
The participation of personnel from across the country highlighted Pakistan’s unity and collective commitment to national defence, while the ceremony provided a platform to honour the sacrifices and dedication of those serving the nation.
