Despite the official announcement of a 7% increase in pensions for pensioners in the federal budget 27-2026, millions of retired employees across the country will not be able to get the increased amount on August 1, and they will be paid their pension at the old rate as usual.

According to sources, the main reason for the delay is that the notification of the increase in pension is to be issued on July 29, just two days before the payment.

Due to limited time, banks couldn’t update the data of payments according to the new rate in time. However, the increased pension will be paid to pensioners in September along with arrears.

On the other hand, there is concern among pensioners over the delay in payment and the continuous less relief received by pensioners compared to in-service employees.
