PESHAWAR: The Peshawar district administration has stepped up action against profiteering and underweight naan, conducting inspections of markets along Ring Road.
During the inspections, officials checked prices of essential commodities and also weighed naan to ensure compliance with the prescribed weight.
The administration arrested several individuals for overcharging and selling underweight naan, following complaints from citizens about naan being sold at higher prices and below the required weight.
Officials said the crackdown was launched in response to growing complaints and warned that action would be taken against those found violating official price and weight regulations.
