PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Education Department has introduced major changes to the distribution of administrative powers concerning teachers’ promotions, transfers and other service matters.
According to a notification issued by the Education Directorate, the responsibilities of Deputy Directors (Establishment) have been reorganized, with matters divided between Establishment-I and Establishment-II.
Under the new arrangement, Deputy Director Establishment-II will handle matters relating to officers in Grade 17 and above.
Meanwhile, administrative matters concerning employees up to Grade 16 have been assigned to Deputy Director Establishment-I.
The notification further states that cases related to the regularization of Senior School Teachers (SSTs), school leaders and other teachers will now be dealt with by Deputy Director Aftab Ahmad.
The authority to handle Annual Confidential Reports (ACRs), seniority and transfers of officers in Grade 17 and above has also been assigned to Deputy Director Establishment-II.
KP Police Announces Major Transfer, Posting of Senior Officers
Earlier, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Department has ordered the transfer and posting of two senior police officers with immediate effect.
According to a notification issued by the Office of the Inspector General of Police (IGP), KP, Shahbaz Ellahi PSP (BS-19) has been transferred from his position as District Police Officer (DPO), Lakki Marwat, and posted as SSP Security, Special Branch, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Meanwhile, Sajjad Ahmad Sahibzada PSP (BS-18), who was serving as SSP Security, Special Branch, has been posted as DPO Lakki Marwat, replacing Shahbaz Ellahi.
The notification was issued by the Provincial Police Officer, KP, under the powers conferred by Section 15(4) of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Act, 2017.
The transfers and postings have been made in the public interest and with immediate effect, according to the notification dated August 23, 2026.
The relevant police and administrative authorities have been directed to implement the orders accordingly.
