ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has been the main culprit of defamation of the country in writing the letters to the IMF, among other things. He stressed that for any meaningful talks, PTI should apologise first to the world for its conduct.
Speaking to a private news channel, Tarar levelled allegations that PTI was faking to be the victims while it was in fact the one which was attacking the Pakistan Army and the Field Marshal and at the same time, Pakistan was receiving accolades from the world for its leadership after the war of May.
It is an utterly wrong idea that without Imran Khan, Pakistan will cease to exist, he said. People should never forget that Pakistan is not the same one; it is no longer a country that is constantly on the verge of default.
On another question, Tarar, while answering, pointed out that traitors never prosper and he assured PTI that it will be the same fate that awaits them. He also fired at those who consider themselves above the nation, saying that no good can come out of insulting the army and the leadership.
Concerning social media, Tarar said that there is no proposal to shut down ‘X’ in Pakistan, but at the same time Pakistan is working on getting social media companies to establish their offices in the country.
