ISLAMABAD: A coordinated cross-border disinformation campaign has been launched following recent Pakistani airstrikes against Khawarij targets inside Afghanistan, with reports revealing that the Afghan Taliban regime has engaged Indian vloggers to drive an anti-Pakistan narrative.
According to digital forensics and media monitoring analysts, the targeted propaganda campaign aims to obscure the deaths of high-profile terrorists by falsely projecting military strikes as attacks on hospitals and civilian infrastructure.
By manipulating the narrative surrounding the collateral damage of these precision operations, the campaign reportedly seeks to garner international sympathy and fuel diplomatic hostility against Pakistan.
However, media monitors have identified a major linguistic discrepancy that has blown the cover of the operation. While the targeted border areas in Afghanistan are predominantly Pashto-speaking, individuals featured in the widely circulated propaganda videos claiming casualties are speaking Urdu.
Experts point out that this linguistic mismatch is definitive proof that the narrative is not organic or local. Instead, the content is being artificially manufactured by external networks and foreign actors specifically tailored to influence and mislead the public.
